Cameron Rast

Cameron Rast is a former player and two-time All-American sweeper for Santa Clara University. Rast earned a piece of Santa Clara's 1989 national championship and played a key role in leading the Broncos to the 1991 NCAA championship game. During his four-year career, the Broncos compiled a 57-4-11 record. As a sophomore in 1989, he earned his first All-America selection, scoring a career-high 30 points on 11 goals, as Santa Clara finished with a 20-0-3 record, the nation's top ranking and a share of the NCAA title.

Eric Yamamoto

The 2011 season marks Eric Yamamoto's 21st year coaching at Santa Clara University. He earned All-America status as a goalkeeper, setting Bronco records with a 0.63 goals-against average and 38 shutouts as Santa Clara charged to the nation's top ranking and the NCAA co-championship during his senior season in 1989. Yamamoto, a four-year starter and three-time Academic All-American, anchored a stingy defense that allowed just 10 goals while posting a 20-0-3 record en route to the nation's No. 1 ranking. As a member of the U.S. National Team coaching staff, Yamamoto has worked with many of the top U.S. goalkeepers, most recently with the U.S. Women's National Team. He also coaches numerous U.S. National Youth Teams on both the boys and girls sides. Most recently, he has served as the assistant coach for the U.S. U-18 men's team. In the summer of 2007, he was part of the Pan Am Games in Brazil with the U-18s.

Mark "Rusty" Johnson

Rusty Johnson completed his eighth year on the coaching staff in 2011, focusing primarily on the development of Santa Clara goalkeepers. Under his tutelage, Joseph Buttitta led the WCC in shutouts with eight in 2006 and this season Kevin Klasila finished second in the nation in the regular season with a goals against average of 0.49. Klasila was also undefeated at 12-0-3 during the 2007 season.
Rusty also coaches with the local DeAnza Force club, where he coached the ’93 ECNL team and is currently coaching the ’94 Blue team. Rusty also oversees goalkeeper training for the DeAnza Force U15/U16 and U17/U18 Academy Teams. In addition to his club coaching responsibilities, Rusty is a qualified technical trainer and works with the best players in the Development Academy through the Market Training Center.
Playing Highlights: Rusty helped guide the Broncos to back-to-back College Cup appearances in 1998 and 1999. He holds the school record for most consecutive shutout minutes with 526:14, most saves in a postseason game with nine and most saves in a postseason career with 19. His career goals-against average of 0.79 and 164 saves are the fourth best totals in Bronco history, while his 23.5 career shutouts are second in SCU history.
